2026 World Migratory Bird Day celebrated at the 2026 Caroline Summerfest

The Town of Denton, the Caroline County Bird Club, the Caroline County Garden Club, Leaf & Bed, and Wild Ones Delmarva made the most of the 2026 World Migratory Bird Day Theme – “Every Bird Counts” by hosting a booth at the Caroline Summerfest on August 21st and 22nd. The partners provided information about native landscaping opportunities, how to turn your yard into a bird friendly habitat, ways to protect birds from glass collisions and free roaming cats, as well as introducing booth visitors to the 2026 World Migratory Bird Day theme – “Every Bird Counts”. A bluebird nesting box, as well as baskets of native plants, seeds, bird safe coffee, and window decals to prevent glass collisions were raffled off to 4 lucky winners.
